Availability & Equipment

I work full-time, every day, which means that I am very available and easy to get in contact with.

I do respond to every work request very quickly, even when I am unable to take it on. I also use Skype with certain clients when they need this service.

 

My PC is equipped with a fiber Internet connection, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365 and I can work with Word, Excel, Trados Studio 2019, POedit Pro, Notepad++. I also work with Aegisub Advance Subtitle Editor and can provide with .srt files if needed.

  • Freelance translator (English to French)

Translation of game manuals, tutorials, in-game texts, menus & dialogues, marketing & store texts, website content (I was in charge of the Nintendo France website updates on a daily basis for over a year) and mobile phone games. I particularly enjoy translating dialogues and audio files for dubbing.

 

I have also translated some e-learning courses for different companies, some press articles for an American magazine specialized in video games (Game Informer), some websites, and I am prepared to do some proofreading work when necessary.

  • In-house translator (English to French)

Translator within a localisation company (Babel Media – Brighton & Hove, UK). This involved working on various games (Civilization II, sports games such as Formula One management, football management simulations, RPGs, Shooters, etc.) as well as on educational softwares, on PCs and consoles (Sega, Nintendo, Sony). I was involved in the translation of both in-game texts and manuals.

 

  • In-house game tester (English to French)

Within the same company, I also worked as a game tester (language & QA) on many games (e.g. “Resident Evil”, “Final Fantasy VIII”, various football games, flight simulators, racing games, etc.).

PROFESSIONAL TEACHING EXPERIENCE (English) – 2000 to 2002

 

  • Teaching adults preparing for the Professional Baccalauréat (Professional A’ Level).

  • Teaching professional adults employed by Canon (Japanese company): group and individual lessons, as well as telephone courses.
